on May 12, 2011Still have snow?!? We're still waiting for warmer weather (New England) but the snow is gone. I really like the abstract nature of this and it really works in B&W.

on May 11, 2011I enjoy the creativity in this image and the memories. We moved to Cheyenne in January 1973 and moved back to California in early January 1974. I remember that it was cold and windy and that we had several big snow storms (snow days) and the last was in May. When we moved, we left in a snow storm that continued into Utah and then into Las Vegas. For me (I was in 5th and 6th grade--Ms Mitchick and Mr Ans) the year in Cheyenne was hard. I didn't make friends. My dad worked on base--when he wasn't TDY. My mom worked at JC Penney's... I went to Buffalo Ridge Elementary school.... Our neighbor was a man named Wayne Johnson... who was later involved in state politics. He was from Las Vegas and his mom had taught my sister when we lived there (small world?) he played the piano and worked at the library. He got married, to Pat, and she had a daughter named Meridith (who died as a teen).... but the snow and wind.... awful stuff....
