on February 24, 2010I like the crop; and the subject and POV. The whole image is nice and the falling flake serves as a pleasant little surprise. Or it would have, if you didn't tell us it was there. :)
Something to watch for when composing is where your main subject intersects with items in the background. Here, the tip of the topmost seed pod and the edge of the treeline meet. If you'd shifted ever so slightly, the seed pod would have been completely within the outline of the tree. A detail that's very minor, but one that can bump your image up a notch when noticed beforehand.
